Sales Executive – VoIP & Unified Communications

We are looking for a high performing Corporate Sales Executive is responsible for driving customer acquisition and revenue growth for the company’s VoIP and Unified Communications business. The role focuses on selling VoIP, SIP Trunking, Call Center, and Communication-as-a-Service solutions to SMEs, mid-sized organizations, and enterprise customers. 

The Sales Executive will work closely with the Product Business Manager and Solutions Engineers teams to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification to deal closure and customer onboarding—while building a sustainable portfolio of recurring revenue customers. 

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Generation 

  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new customer opportunities on our flagship SautiConnect platform 
  • Sell VoIP, SIP Trunking, Call Center, and Unified Communications solutions 
  • Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets 
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with adequate coverage 

 Customer Engagement & Solution Selling 

  • Understand customer communication needs and business environments 
  • Conduct discovery meetings and solution discussions 
  • Present Sauti Connect solutions to customers in collaboration with Solutions Engineers 
  • Support product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and onboarding discussions 

 Opportunity & Account Management 

  • Manage sales opportunities from lead to contract closure 
  • Coordinate contract finalization and handover to provisioning teams 
  • Maintain accurate customer and pipeline records in the CRM system 
  • Grow assigned accounts through upsell and cross-sell of minutes, extensions, and features 

 Collaboration & Internal Coordination 

  • Work closely with the Product Business Manager on deal strategy and pricing 
  • Coordinate with provisioning, support, and customer success teams 
  • Provide customer and market feedback to improve product offerings and positioning 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)  

  • Quarterly Revenue achievement vs target 
  • Number and value of new customers acquired 
  • Sales Pipeline size and conversion rate 
  • Sales cycle length or duration 
  • Account growth and retention contribution 


Required Qualifications & Experience 

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, ICT, Marketing, or a related field 
  • 2–5 years’ experience in B2B solution sales, preferably in Telecommunications, IT services, SaaS, or technology solutions 
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets 
  • Experience selling subscription-based or recurring revenue services is an advantage 
  • Experience selling to SMEs or corporate clients 
  • Familiarity with telephony and telecommunication services is an advantage

Required Skills & Competencies  

Ideal candidate should have 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills to demonstrate VoIP solutions to customers 
  • Ability to understand and articulate customer communication needs 
  • Negotiation and deal closing skills 
  • Comfortable working with minimum targets and performance metrics 
  • Posses’ excellent knowledge of CRM and reporting discipline 
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and working with ERP
